  • Fluxes can be further classified as active or neutral:ACTIVE FLUXES are those fluxes that will cause a substantial change in the weld metal chemistry whenwelding voltage (and consequently, the amount of flux fused) is changed. Active fluxes generally add largeamounts of manganese and silicon to the weld metal and cause the weld strength to increase. If an activeflux is used for multipass welding, excessive manganese and silicon build-up can occur, causing the weld tobe brittle and crack prone. Active fluxes should be limited in the number of passes, especially over rust andmill scale.nWhen an active flux is used for multipass welding, the voltage must be carefully controlled to avoidexcessive build-up of manganese and silicon. Active fluxes should not be used to multipass weld platesmore than 1" (25 mm) thick.NEUTRAL FLUXES are fluxes that will not cause a significant change in the weld metal chemistry evenwith variations of welding voltages. Neutral fluxes will not significantly affect the strength of the weld metalregardless of the welding voltage used or the number of passes. As a rule neutral fluxes should be specified for multipass welding.

EL12 is a low manganese and silicon wire. It provides excellent ducktility and crack resistance. Typical applications include lap welds, build-up, or repair welding prior to machining.

EM12K is a medium manganese and silicon wire with nominal rust and mill scale tolerance. Typical applications inculde structural steels, medium strength pressure vessels, wind tower bases, shipbuilding,barge, and offshore oil rig fabrication.

HARDFACING FLUX LJ-SJ112

LJ-SJ112 is an Agglomerated Fluoride-Basic flux, specially designed for hardfacing applications. It is equal to Lincolnweld 880. Basicity Index: 2.1 Grain Size: 12-40 meshes. Can be used with both solid and flux cored wires. Good slag detachability and attractive bead appearance.

Stainless Steel Flux LJ-SJ601

LJ-SJ601 is an Agglomerated Silicate-Manganese flux. Basicity Index: 1.8  Grain Size: 10-60 meshes. Designed for a variety of welding applicaions and is known for providing consistent mechanical properties. Smooth bead appearance. Used for welding of stainless, mild and low steel steel.

Notes on Usage:

  1. Dry the flux at 300~350℃ for 2 hours before use.
  2. Remove rust, scales, oil, water, dirt etc. before welding. 

 

Wind Tower Flux LJ-SJ210P


LJ-SJ210P is Neutral submerged arc welding flux designed to meet the specific requirements of wind tower welding applications. Basicity Index: 1.1  Grain Size: 10-60 meshes. Use with EM12K on both longitudinal and circumferential seam welds. The impact properties of weld deposits exceeding 27J at -60℃ .

Notes on Usage:

  1. Dry the flux at 300~350℃ for 2 hours before use.
  2. Remove rust, scales, oil, water, dirt etc. before welding. 


LPG/LNG Cylinders Flux LJ-SJ501

LJ-SJ501 is an Agglomerated Aluminate-Rutile flux. Basicity Index: 0.8  Grain Size: 12-60 meshes. Designed for small cyliner gas and LPG tanks etc. The flux suitable for high speed welding, very good weld apperance and good slag detachability, be known for excellent resistance of porosities.

Notes on Usage:

  1. Dry the flux at 300~350℃ for 2 hours before use.
  2. Remove rust, scales, oil, water, dirt etc. before welding.
